It's All About the Accessories

Dressing in layers for winter can get very boring unless you have just the right accessories. This is your time to pull out socks, mittens, scarves, watches, and hats--and have fun with it!

Polly Sheer With Black Spot (Penny Spot) Tight     Angelica Criss-Cross Mock Sock Tights
Lacey Reindeer + Snowflake Sweater      Carolyn Pom Pom Christmas Tree Jumper
I am absolutely in love with the tartan print this winter. There are so many ways to style these pieces into a very grunge-y look (think black Doc. Martens). I'm also dying to get a beanie (One might end up on my Christmas list!) and those patterned tights are perfect for under your winter dresses. The last item I'm coveting right now is an ugly Christmas sweater. Pop one on and turn up "Sweater Weather" on your iPod. Ugly Christmas sweaters are obviously so much better if they're thrifted, but also has a few. If you're confident enough to pull one off, rock it with leggings or skinny jeans and awesome boots. An infinity scarf doesn't hurt either, depending on how cold it is.

Currently Trending: Brocade

I am in love with this trend. To me, it always looks classy and elegant, making it really easy to put together sophisticated looking outfits. With this sleek peplum top, I would add some fierce pants and black booties for a going out to dinner or something like that but if you just want to wear it to school, nice jeans and flats would be a better choice.

Current Fall Picks

I really love the kind of laid-back, relaxed look that's really easy to pull off in the fall. I put together just a few outfits as examples of this style and they also include some of my favorite fall trends.

Hooded%20Plaid%20Flannel%20Shirt   Olivia%20Dip-Dye%20Jegging%20in%20Indigo   Converse%20Collar%20Stud%20Hi%20Top
The plaid shirt adds sort of a grunge touch to this fall ensemble and I really like the ombre jeans. I'm also loving these these tough-looking sneakers!

       Stripe%20Dorito%20Pullover   Bailey%20Low-Rise%20Flare%20Jean%20Charlotte%20Wash  Minnetonka%20Kilty%20Moccasin
This look is perfect for any of you fall athletes who have fallen into a style rut. I know how you feel, but you can stray from your usual uniform of a t-shirt by wearing something that is comfortable but still flattering. Plus, who doesn't love moccasins? Like I said, very simple, but still cute enough for school.

All of that said, you can still be casual and girly at the same time. I made two outfits this time, one with jeans and one with a dress.
Chevron%20Print%20Dress   Quilted%20Moto%20Faux%20Leather%20Jacket      Diba Candy Bootie

All you have to do to achieve this look is throw on a comfy patterned dress. Don't forget a jacket and boots to keep you warm on the way to school!

And here's one last cozy yet cute look that I put together.

      Scalloped%20Lace%20Front%20Sweatshirt       Olivia%20Cotton%20Candy%20Low-Rise%20Jegging    Mia%20Cammi%20Boot

I hope you found some fall and winter outfit inspiration or figured out what's going on your Christmas wishlist!

OOTD #3: Fancy Pants

 shirt-Gap, jeans-The Limited, flats-Target, earrings-H&M

Hey everyone! So I totally scored from a sale at The Limited and got these fun ikat-print jeans for $6 when they were originally $80. I really loves pieces like this because I'm super busy with marching band and homework so it's nice to have things that can just be the center of attention in my outfit and don't require a lot of additional accessories. Let me know what you think in the comments below!

Hey everyone! So I recently watched the music video for Wake Me Up because I love that song. I really liked the rustic setting and clothes in there so I put together some outfits to get geared up for fall. I hope you like them!
