OOTD #2: School Girl

 Tank-Kohl's, Jeans-Kohl's, Sweater-Kohl's, Shoes-Shi

Hi! I hope everyone has had a great week! So this is just a quick OOTD. I actually wore this on Monday but I haven't had time to post it all week. I wore a light pink lace tank which has an adorable collar (I'm a sucker for collars!) with a white sweater and my new Sperries. To finish off the cute "school girl" look, I wore my glasses instead of contacts and I also did this really easy topknot. To get it, all you have to do is put your hair in a pony tail on the top of your head. Then you just have to split it in two and tie it in a knot once or twice depending on how much hair you have. Just add a few bobby pins if it's still not in the exact shape you want. And...ta-da! If you try it let me know how it works for your hair.

Fall Wishlist

I think this fall is going to have some great trends. It is my absolute favorite season because I love everything that goes along with it--layering, sweaters, and boots! I also adore the colors you can wear such as plum and mustard yellow. Here are a few things I really want to get for fall 2013!

BTS Series Part 2: Choosing the Right Shoes

Hey! I hope everyone has had a great weekend! I want to talk for a minute about back-to-school shoes. I know those high heels can be tempting, but when I'm walking around my high school all day, I prefer comfort. I just got a pair of bright pink Converse because I think they are a perfect choice. I'm sure you will be seeing me wear them a lot! Converse seriously can go with ANYTHING, even dresses. Another sturdy shoe I'm loving is Sperries. The silver sparkles on mine can add a lot to any outfit. Pair them with a plain shirt, infinity scarf, and blue jeans and you're good to go! There's just one more type of shoe I'd like to bring up. I am absolutely in love with oxfords right now. I personally love the ones on the right. You can go with a structured pair but I also really like some of the very feminine ones that I've seen. All of the ones in this post are from Shi's website which is an extension of Journey and is also where I got my Converse and Sperries. You can get to it here. Happy shoe-shopping!

BTS Series Part 1: Choosing the Right Nail Color

Hey, I'm back! I know I haven't posted in several months but I have had a loaded year and I'm finally ready to be completely committed to blogging. Anyway, I wanted to spend some time talking today about what you need for back-to-school! I know the first day can be daunting, but it can actually be fun going back if you are confident and ready to show everyone, Hey, look how awesome I became over the summer! So let's start with nails. You can choose to go with something that matches your first day outfit, or you can go with one of the new trendy colors for fall. One color that has been huge all year is emerald green, and that's what I went with for the first day (my school started on Wednesday). If you still don't want to let go of your fun summer colors, choose something just a little darker. Navy instead of teal, maroon instead of red, plum instead of violet and so on. Have fun!
